Château de Pennautier
A Historic Languedoc Estate Since 1620
Château de Pennautier is the historic family seat of Lorgeril, an independent family wine business founded in 1620 and now in its 13th generation of stewardship. Located in the Languedoc, the château is a national historic monument and remains at the heart of the Lorgeril family’s long winemaking legacy.
Since taking over the business in 1987, Nicolas and Miren de Lorgeril have continued to build on this heritage, expanding the family vineyards across carefully selected terroirs in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The vineyards around Château de Pennautier are situated on cool hillside slopes, benefiting from ideal conditions for crafting wines that are ripe yet fresh and elegant, balancing the hot, dry climate of the region.
With sustainability at the centre of the family philosophy, Château de Pennautier reflects both tradition and modern care in the vineyard. Its wines express the character of the Languedoc while carrying forward over four centuries of family winemaking history.
