Established in Dublin in 1977, Cassidy Wines has spent almost 50 years building a reputation as one of Ireland’s leading independent wine importers and distributors, representing exceptional wineries and brands from across the world.
Our Story
Our story began when Kevin Cassidy imported his first consignment of wine from Italy.
His strategy was simple: he would either sell the wine or drink it.
Fortunately, he found plenty of willing customers, and Cassidy Wines was born.
Today, we operate from our headquarters in Citywest, Dublin, with a dedicated team working across Sales, Marketing, Warehousing, Distribution and Finance.
While the business has grown considerably since that first shipment, our approach remains rooted in the same principles: strong relationships, deep wine expertise and personal service.
In 2026, Cassidy Wines entered an exciting new chapter when Henkell Freixenet acquired a majority stake in the business.
As part of one of the world’s leading sparkling wine and spirits groups, we now combine nearly five decades of experience in the Irish market with the resources and international expertise of Henkell Freixenet.

We work with the very best wineries from across the wine producing regions.
We have long established relations with our suppliers with exclusive distribution rights with each. With our expertise we continually review our range ensuring we add new and interesting wines to meet with consumer expectations.
Our scale ensures we can offer our customers optimal value for money. We guarantee the quality of our wines as each wine is tasted and assessed prior to being added to our portfolio.
Our Team
Our team of sales professionals work across all trade sectors – HORECA, Independent Retailers and Wholesalers – providing all the support necessary for the sale of our wines and we are proud of our company owned delivery fleet ensuring optimal customer service.
